For whom I sought loyalty, cruelty did I find,
Whomever I deemed faithless, faithless were they in kind.
To whom I showed my pain, seeking cure in their embrace,
I found them more afflicted, in torment and disgrace.
None took my sorrowed heart's burden away or cared,
Those who spoke of joy, false-heartedness they shared.
I stepped upon hope's path, it gave me wandering strife,
I grasped ambition's thread, found a dragon in my life.
Fuzuli, blame me not if from the world I turn away,
For every face I turned to, a hundred woes held sway.
